FAMILY DAY PROGRAM ON MAY 30, 2024
The family day on the occasion of our anniversary at the Zollverein Coal Mine promises a varied program for young and old and a day full of fun and entertainment for the whole family! Many hands-on activities and exciting activities await visitors:
In the Kunstkaue you can give free rein to your artistic side and design your own individual fabric bag. You can also let your imagination run wild with the hands-on activity “Bring color into the hidden object picture and punch your sticker”.
The guided tours are also impressive, in which not only the history of mining is conveyed, but you can also actively participate yourself. Under the motto “Get the coal rolling,” children and adults can experience mining life up close together. During the mine shift with mine lights, visitors immerse themselves in the world of miners and gain insights into the tough everyday work underground. Experts are available to answer questions and provide impressive demonstrations.
There is also a toy mobile in a historic fire engine, which provides lots of fun. You can also expect walking acts with magic that provide magical moments and colorful balloons.
Family Day offers a variety of entertainment options that will delight both children and adults. Come along and enjoy an unforgettable day full of fun and action!
