Extraordinary Christmas markets on the first weekend of Advent

This year, the first Sunday of Advent in November provides a cozy start to the Christmas season. From November 27th, numerous Christmas markets will open in unique locations along the Industrial Heritage Trail throughout the Ruhr region. Warm drinks and festive treats are just as essential as spending time with loved ones.

At various points along the Industrial Heritage Trail, Christmas markets offer delightful regional delicacies and handcrafted items. In addition, select museums and parks offer special guided tours, hands-on activities for children, and live music.
