Explore the North Landscape Park at night with headlamps

Under the motto “See the ironworks in a different light,” this event invites you to discover the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park in a different way and to experience it in a completely new light.

The combination of night hike and headlamp allows an insight into the less illuminated areas of blast furnace street, casting hall, torpedo ladle car, etc. The tour brings light into previously hidden corners and creates a memorable atmosphere between light and shadow.

The headlamp tour illuminates all the highlights of the ironworks and highlights its historical development and its journey from a forgotten industrial wasteland.

TIPP: It's worth taking the tour during the Christmas holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia. Because then the former steelworks is transformed into a fascinating play of light and colors. The lighting is activated at sunset and remains on until 1 a.m. Visitors also have the opportunity to enter Blast Furnace 5 and its observation deck.

Headlamps are available on loan for the duration of the tour. Please note that the event is not barrier-free.

Opening hours:
The headlamp tour takes place every Saturday at 18:30 p.m. until February.

For safety reasons, access to the blast furnace is closed on New Year's Eve from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. on New Year's Day!
