Headframe of the German Mining Museum Bochum shines in new splendor
The iconic double-bock headframe above the German Mining Museum in Bochum is fully visible again! After the extensive renovation work was completed, the white tarpaulin and scaffolding were dismantled and the landmark once again shines in fresh "Germania green". The renovation, which began in January 2024, included replacing steel parts, removing old layers of paint and applying a new coating - the headframe now shines brighter and a little bluer than before.
The highlight: On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the German Mining Museum is hosting a large museum festival to celebrate the successful restoration. Until May 2025, visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the special exhibition "Double Bock at the Museum", which offers exciting insights into the history and significance of the headframe.
