Photo lecture: Insects on the industrial wasteland

Insects are fascinating. Their habitats are as diverse as their appearance and abilities. But the population has been declining steadily for many years. Both biomass and biodiversity are therefore threatened. But why are insects actually important? What can they do and why? And how do they influence our shared environment almost unnoticed?

In his photo lecture, Dr. Peter Roos uses many pictures to show how insects conquer new habitats on industrial wastelands. The lecture is part of the new exhibition “Industrial Insects – In an Unknown Land”
