Children's Day at the Bochum Railway Museum

On July 09th, 2023, the Railway Museum will be upside down again and the little guests will be the biggest. On this day, the railway museum in Bochum offers numerous games for children and opportunities to ride historic vehicles for the whole family.

The history of technology is conveyed in an easily understandable and playful way. For example, with the explanations on a large steam locomotive or a ride on the rustic field railway. Young and old have the opportunity to experience old technology in a new way. Numerous game partners are present on this day. including the THW youth, the Knax club and the LGB friends of the Lower Rhine. The Tierpark Bochum sends its popular Zoomobile and the fluffy Ruhrpott walking acts “Nero & Rotanes” also drop by the ASB teddy bear hospital. Young visitors can put their skills and creativity to the test in numerous games, such as obstacle courses, throwing cans and many more.
The popular small rail bus, also known as the "pig's snout", commutes between the museum and Bochum-Dahlhausen S-Bahn station on this day.

If the weather is bad, the games will take place in the large carriage hall.
