St. Antony Hut Festival 2023

Full steam ahead for the ironworks director: On Sunday, October 8th, the LVR Industrial Museum St. Antony will bring the oldest ironworks in the Ruhr area back to life. Guests big and small can look forward to a full-steam day program.

Anyone who wants to know how iron and steel were made and how hard working with metal used to be can look over the shoulders of the museum blacksmith and foundry experts. Another highlight of the festival is Ulrich Lübke with his historic bicycles, who demonstrates his skills on the penny-farthing.

The numerous historically costumed guests who are expected at the festival ensure a very special atmosphere: the IG Prussian Rhineland from Oberhausen will be represented by men and women in 19th century style. There have also been guests from the 18th century, including English sailors from the Royal Navy in 1775, who arranged to meet with the hut director for business negotiations. The travelers from the steampunk scene bring a special flair, presenting their imaginative costumes and original model machines, including very special steampunk airships.

As always, the host is the hut director Gottlob Jacobi, who is very much looking forward to the event and will personally guide his guests through his realm.

Eintritt der ist frei.
