Museum of German Inland Navigation

In a former Art Nouveau indoor pool in Duisburg, several
rooms and a museum full of shipping history on three floors
the Stone Age to the present day.
The Museum of German Inland Shipping, or Inland Shipping Museum, impresses not only with its many detailed models and exhibits, but above all with the three-dimensional effect when entering some of the ships on display.
In the former men's swimming pool there is the cargo sailing ship Goede Verwachting from 1913, while in the former women's swimming pool there is a walk-in replica of an inland waterway vessel.
But even besides the prominent exhibits, there is a lot to explore that might not be the focus at first glance. Life on board and the everyday lives of both the sailors and their families on water and on land are impressively conveyed here.

In short, you can learn pretty much everything there is about the German language here
There is a lot to know about inland shipping. Nevertheless, the museum is suitable for all ages and, thanks to its barrier-free design, is also accessible for wheelchair users.
Ship ahoy and have fun!
