Summer Tours 2024 – Guided bike tours

 

In the anniversary year of the Industrial Culture Route, we are offering a special tour offer for all cycling enthusiasts following the 2024 cycling summer on June 09th: Discover industrial culture on the 300 km long long-distance cycle path between Hamm and Duisburg. The 9-day tour program takes you to fourteen of the 27 exciting anchor points on the Industrial Culture Route. Safely accompanied by experienced bike tour leaders: within the ADFC we invite you to accompany us for one or more days. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 70 cyclists per bike tour; So make sure you have an interesting and exciting day of cycling in good time.

The tour program follows on from the major events as part of the anniversary year and starts after the kick-off party on June 9th at the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum on June 11th in Maximilianpark in Hamm. Don't miss this special experience and experience industrial culture on two wheels!

Summer tours 2024

Registration for the summer tours

Only one online registration for one person is possible for all tours. Using the button for Online tour program You can choose the summer tour you prefer and then register directly for this tour using the relevant link, providing your name and email address. You will automatically receive an email message from the system within a few minutes (please check your SPAM folder!), which you then have to confirm again. Only then will your registration be fully recorded and accepted by the system. Please understand that for organizational and traffic reasons only 50 to max. 70 cyclists are allowed to participate. The earlier you register, the safer it is to take part in the respective tour. The order of registrations decides. Registration is only possible for one person at a time.

What should you take into account when taking part in the summer tours?

The road traffic regulations apply to all participants! Participation is at your own risk. Children under 10 are only allowed to take part in the tours when accompanied by an adult. Older children up to 14 years of age require a declaration of consent from their legal guardian to participate. Neither the Ruhr Regional Association nor the ADFC (TourGuides) can be held liable for avoidable accidents, damage and the like. You are responsible for compliance with the traffic rules and for the roadworthy condition of your bike. (Road traffic regulations and technical equipment/safety of the bike) The tours vary in length. Take a look and decide whether you have enough fitness. You should also have weatherproof clothing and some provisions with you.
All tours are led by experienced ADFC tour guides whose instructions must be followed without fail. They serve the safety of all participants and the smooth running of the summer tours. These can be canceled or rescheduled at short notice in the event of foreseeable and exceptional weather conditions.
