Saturday, July 19, 2024, 10 a.m. to 16 p.m.
TOUR 1: From the Ewald Herten mine to the New Westerholt mine
From the Ewald Colliery in Herten, we'll walk along the Allee des Wandels (Avenue of Change) to the Neue Zeche Westerholt development site. On the return journey, we'll pass the Schüngelberg housing estate and then follow the Hugotrasse back to Ewald. Experience a varied tour through the surprisingly beautiful industrial and cultural landscape on our approximately six-hour circular tour.

TOUR 2: Recklinghausen substation and Waltrop lock park
Between the Recklinghausen substation and the Waltrop lock park, you will experience a varied tour through the surprisingly beautiful industrial and cultural landscape on our approximately six-hour round trip.
Registration for the summer tours
For each tour, only one online registration is possible. Click on the button to Online tour program You can select your preferred summer tour and then register directly for it using the corresponding link, providing your name and email address. You will automatically receive an email from the system within a few minutes (please check your SPAM folder!), which you must then confirm. Only then will your registration be fully recorded and accepted by the system. Please understand that the number of participants per day tour is limited for organizational and traffic authority reasons. The earlier you register, the more certain you are of participation in the respective tour. The order of registrations will be decisive. Registration is only possible for one person at a time.
What should you take into account when taking part in the summer tours?
All participants are required to comply with the road traffic regulations! Participation is at your own risk. Children under 10 years of age may only participate in the tours if accompanied by an adult. Older children up to 14 years of age require a parent or guardian's consent to participate. Neither the Regionalverband Ruhr nor the tour guides can be held liable for avoidable accidents, damage, or the like. You are responsible for observing the traffic regulations and ensuring that your bicycle is in a roadworthy condition (road traffic regulations and technical equipment/safety of the bicycle). The tours vary in length. Check them out and decide if you are fit enough. You should also bring weatherproof clothing and some provisions.
All tours are led by experienced tour guides, whose instructions must be strictly followed. These are provided for the safety of all participants and the smooth running of the summer tours. These tours may be canceled or postponed at short notice in the event of foreseeable or exceptional weather conditions.
