At the beginning the tour runs from the train station through the center of Bochum to the West Park with the Bochum Centennial Hall. The Parkband West cycle path connection takes you south on old railway lines. You will soon reach Weitmar Castle with a beautiful park canal and the underground museum. The route runs slightly uphill again via the Springorumtrasse towards the center.
