The collection of the Zollverein Foundation includes over 20 sculptures and outdoor installations. The walk leads past twelve works whose creation stories tell of artistic protests, large exhibitions and small anecdotes. You will learn everything about concrete art through the steel and stone sculptures by Alf Lechner, Ansgar Nierhoff and Ulrich Rückriem. Special attention is also paid to conceptual art through the installation “LA PRIMAVERA” by Maria Nordman.

For art enthusiasts with children under 2 years old, we recommend the art walk with baby : Every first Wednesday of the month, the approximately 90-minute guided tour allows participants to get to know the art and history of Zollverein while keeping an eye on the needs of their little ones.
