One million guests visit "The Fragile Paradise"

With the huge number of 1.000.000 visitors, "The Fragile Paradise" is one of the most successful exhibitions in Germany.

In addition to the 200 award-winning photographs, which document the rapidly advancing climate change and its consequences in larger than life and visually stunning, this is due in particular to the impressive unique selling point of the exhibition: the gigantic globe. The spectacular globe floats in the 100 meter high room and, as an animated projection, creates a total work of art full of visually stunning grace.

But that's not all of the superlatives, because the Oberhausen Gasometer has received a total of nine million guests since it opened as an exhibition venue. The first show "Fire and Flame" was already one of the most successful historical exhibitions of 1994. Over time, the former disc gas holder developed into an increasingly popular location for unusual exhibition concepts: Whether with the legendary football exhibition "The ball is round" or the Installations "The Wall" and "Big Air Package" by Christo and Jeanne-Claude.

On May 16th, the siblings Michal and Aleksandra Walocha were welcomed as the millionth guest by the entire team and Oberhausen Mayor Daniel Schranz. Jeanette Schmitz, Managing Director of Gasometer Oberhausen GmbH, was particularly pleased: "We are already used to a few records in the Gasometer, but such a large number of visitors is something very special for us too".

Until November 26th "The Fragile Paradise" can still be seen in the Gasometer Oberhausen - there is certainly still time for further records!
