Feelings of home – industrial photography by Adam Glagla

Adam Glagla was born in Chorzów (King's Hut) in 1966. He found a new home in the Ruhr area, which reminds him of his Upper Silesian youth. As a watchmaker, Adam worked on tiny technical works of art every day. A balance was created by photographing huge headframes like the ones he knew from Poland - initially in the Ruhr area, later also beyond. He had to give up watchmaking, but his passion for photography and technology remained - especially for large-scale technology. Today Adam Glagla works at the LWL Museum Henrichshütte. “Feelings of Home” shows a cross-section of his photographs of industrial facilities, which were created over many years of photographic work.
