"Fashion with Steel" at the Henrichshütte

On September 8th, designers from the Ruhr area will present sustainable fashion under the motto "Fashion with Steel" in the LWL Museum Henrichshütte in Hattingen. The show starts at 20 p.m., after which the guests have the opportunity to look at and try on the clothes in a relaxed atmosphere.

From coal and steel to fair fashion - the Ruhr area can look back on a long history of textiles and fashion. Today, many young labels that create sustainable and environmentally friendly designs work between Duisburg and Dortmund:

Anna-Franziska Termohlen
Anna-Franziska Termöhlen designs deconstructive, individual and minimalist collections in her AT-elier in Duisburg. Her current collection Tischlein deck dich brings culinary-inspired outfits onto the catwalk. The passion for quality is underlined by the production of all garments in Germany and the selection of high-quality materials.

In her collections, qualified fashion designer Michaela Reinhardt combines modern cuts, high-quality materials and perfectionist craftsmanship. Cool and elegant, minimalistically sophisticated, extravagant and wearable - that is BERON's style. It is produced exclusively in Germany, in a small design studio with a showroom in Bochum.

Hugo Bückelhaus Vocational College
At the Hugo Bückelhaus vocational college in Essen, clothing technology assistants receive basic training in the areas of fashion, styling, cutting techniques and materials. At the Mode mit Steel fashion show, young, fashion-conscious youngsters have the opportunity to present the clothing they have designed and produced themselves.
