RVR Visitor Center Hoheward starts the summer season

After five months of the off-season, the RVR visitor center in Hoheward and the exhibition NEUE HORIZONTE will start the summer season again from April with extended opening hours. Both facilities can then be visited again Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. (minus a break at the weekend from 13:15 p.m. to 13:45 p.m.). The additional information point of the RVR visitor center in Recklinghausen near the Drachenbrücke opens again on weekends and public holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

SEGWAY – tours around the landscape park

With the extension of the opening times, the popular SEGWAY tours around the Hoheward landscape park are now starting again. In addition to the two-and-a-half-hour tours to the Hoheward heap, regular shorter trips to the Ewald colliery in connection with the new AktivLinearPark at the southern foot of the Hoheward heap and tours in the Emscherbruch with the Ewaldsee are also offered. All appointments are accompanied by expert tour guides.

Guided tours are offered every weekend and public holiday (except Good Friday) in the mornings and afternoons until the end of October. Depending on availability, individual appointments can also be arranged for two or more people.

You can register online for all scheduled tours. Individual inquiries can be made and booked on 02366-181160 or by e-mail at hochward@rvr.ruhr. The cost for the two and a half hour driving pleasure is €65,00 per person, participation in the one and a half hour tours costs €35,00 per person. There are discounts with the ADAC club card or a card from the Citypower network (only for the heap tours).
