Zollern goes Minecraft
Holiday workshop for Minecraft fans: The gamification workshop “Zellern Goes Minecraft” is a great opportunity to explore the mine in a completely different way. This is about transforming the icon of industrial culture made of steel and glass into a digital game. Equipped with an iPad, you look for suitable photo motifs of places and buildings on the Zollern colliery site in order to then recreate them in the digital Minecraft world.

Sailor training at the ship lift
All hands on board: we're hiring! The elevator needs new cabin boys and cabin girls. Get to know the living and working world on an inland vessel and try out different types of work on deck. If you are diligent, you will of course receive your own sailor's letter at the end. Duration: 6 hours, registration required

Easter egg hunt in the railway museum
The traditional, popular large Easter egg hunt starts in the Bochum Railway Museum on Easter Sunday. Numerous Easter eggs are hidden in the historic and weather-protected locomotive shed.

Zollverein roller skating rink
The popular roller skating rink is coming back to Zollverein. Inline skating and roller skating fans can do their laps on over 600 square meters in Hall 5 amidst the unique industrial architecture.

Creative offerings in the “Health and Services” exhibition and fun for the dexterous. Always from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m., without registration. EVERY SUNDAY: DIY stopover: children's activity with creative craft ideas.

GPS treasure hunt with pipistrelle bat
From March 22nd to April 7th, 2024, children can go on an expedition with park mascot Edgar, a pipistrelle bat. Tricky questions with varying levels of difficulty challenge the participants. In this way, team spirit and background knowledge are strengthened in a playful way during the treasure hunt. A surprise awaits at the end.

Easter Bunny Smart Egg Rally
The Easter Bunny has thought of tricky tasks for little people. Which children are smart enough to solve them? A children's birthday party in the Maxipark will be raffled off among all participants. The rally forms can be printed out here beforehand or are available at the checkout.

The fascinating world of robot programming
How do you get a robot to stop in front of an obstacle, follow a line, or recognize colors? In this exciting holiday course you will learn how to get our little mBots to do what you want using a simple programming language. This programming language is called Scratch, is self-explanatory and can be used without prior knowledge.

Upcycling workshop Henrichshütte
Do you want to be active and creative – and do so in a sustainable way? Then you have the opportunity to do this in our holiday workshop: We sew individual bags, folders or other textile objects from exhibition banners from past special exhibitions. No previous knowledge is required. Registration required.

Nature tour for children at the Hansa coking plant
Children aged 6 to 12 go on a children's nature tour with a biologist on a children's nature tour organized by the Industrial Monument Preservation and Historical Culture Foundation over the site of the Hansa coking plant. The little nature lovers will encounter different trees and bushes in the area, which have spread here independently since the industrial site was shut down. Registrations by phone 0231/931122-33
